1. Head Protection

Built around an EVO®5 Olympus® industrial safety helmet combing a super strong ABS shell for superior all day protection with the comfort of the Evolution 3D-Adjustment harness system.

Conforming to: EN397, ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 ( American standard for head protection, Type 1) and AS/NZS 1801 for Occupational Protective Helmets

2. High Efficiency Filters

High capacity HEPA filters coupled with aerodynamically optimised pre-filter covers ensure the PowerCap® Infinity® delivers 160 litres per minute of clean air to the user with maximum battery efficiency. Filters can be changed easily with the quick-change bayonet system.

PowerCap® Infinity® provides users with clean air to the level of EN12941:1998 + A2:2008 TH3P – The highest possible rating in Europe with an Assigned Protection Factor of 40 and Nominal Protection Factor NPF of 500.  ( source EN529)

PowerCap® Infinity® provides users with clear air to the level of AS/NZS 1716:2012 PAPR-P2 with loose fitting head top, with a Minimum Required Protection Factor (MRPF) up to 50.

3. Panoramic Impact Visor

The optical class 1 visor offers impact protection against small objects at speeds of up to 434 Kmph (270 Mph). This test was conducted using a 6mm steel ball bearing. The visor has a replaceable peel-off visor protector to prolong its life.

4. Ear Defenders

Developed to seamlessly integrate with Sonis® helmet mounted ear defenders. Designed by the JSP R&D team working with a leading UK acoustic engineering research facility, the Sonis® helmet mounted range peaks at an unbeaten level of 36 SNR.

Conforms to EN353-3, AS/NZS 1270 with Class5 performance for all 3 models. SLC(80) rating from 27dB and up to 34dB

Please note that Sonis® ear defenders are not included with the PowerCap® Infinity®.

5. Perfect Fit to Combat Dust – Prevent Silicosis

Dust in the workplace is a significant issue. HSE figures (2017) show that 18,000 new cases of work related respiratory disease were diagnosed. A significant proportion of these were a result of exposure to silica dust. In October 2018 the ABC published findings (1, 2) of rising silicosis cases in Australia – particularly affecting stonemasons working on kitchen bench tops without adequate respiratory protection. A Queensland based senior occupational physician expected another 300 cases before Christmas 2018 – just over a 2 month period. A video of the report is available for viewing below.

PowerCap® Infinity® being a loose fitting PAPR, it removes the need for face fit testing by ensuring that a high volume of clean air is delivered to the breathing zone giving a superior level of protection.

JSP tested the effect of facial hair on the mask seal and found that facial hair does not impede the effectiveness of the PowerCap® Infinity®.

Note the PowerCap® Infinity® is suitable for Trimmed Beard, however a “Ned Kelly” or “ZZ Top” type of Beard is not acceptable!
NO FACE FIT TEST REQUIRED, No need to shave everyday.

APPLICATIONS:
PowerCap® Infinity® is intended for use in areas where respiratory protection from dust, spores, mist and fumes, head protection from falling
objects and eye/face protection from high-speed particles is required.
PowerCap® Infinity® provides respiratory protection to the requirements of EN12941 as a TH3P R SL device. PowerCap® Infinity® has a
nominal protection factor of 500 and a UK assigned protection factor (APF) of 40. Note that in EU states the APF varies.
PowerCap® Infinity® provides head protection to the requirements of EN397, ANSI Z89.1, CSA Z94.1 and GB2811. The head protection
offers protection from falling objects. As part of the PowerCap® Infinity®, some aspects of the performance of the helmet are affected. It should
not be used in sub 5°C temperatures.
PowerCap® Infinity® provides eye protection to the requirements of EN166 against high speed particles, Grade B. The PowerCap® Infinity®
has a face seal skirt to provide both respiratory protection and Field of Use Class 4 protection against dust particles. PowerCap® Infinity® is a
loose fitting item of respiratory protection. It may offer respiratory protection to the wearers of prescription eye wear.
PowerCap® Infinity® also has the facility to be able to accept the JSP Sonis® helmet mounted hearing protection to provide protection against
the harmful effects of noise.
